Hlines

Hlines began as an experiment to see what could be created in Photoshop using a simple framework as a starting point. In truth there was really no rhyme or reason behind my choice of colors or pattern for this trial. I mostly just chose some colors to create a good degree of contrast.
I created several variations of this in Photoshop. Below are two of my favorite. On the left you can see a pop-art style modification and on the right a more retro-modern style modification. I achieved the waves for both of these images by using the smudge tool set at 100%. After the waves were in place I did a bit of clean up and applied various effects.

As you can see, some pretty interesting changes can be made to even simple shapes and structures.
