CarliScales.com logo

The logo for CarliScales.com was actually an adaptation of one of her actual works: the dancing clown. In the logo I tried to be consistent with the colors in the graphical and textual parts. Note that in the image portion of the logo, the primary colors used are red, yellow, and green. This being the case I decided to reused those same colors for the textual elements as well to promote a sense of continuity.

The image to the left is Carli Scales' painting titled The dancing clown. As you can see, the logo is a reworking of the top portion of that painting. What caught my eye about this piece was that it had within it Carli Scales' initials "C" and "S". Some improvisation had to be made to get it to work the way I wanted. This basically included pulling the appropriate portions of the painting out, doing some cleanup, and filling in a few gaps.

The dancing clown is a very remarkable piece of work. I was told recently it was also chosen to be pictured on the cover of a book, the title of which has slipped my mind at the moment. Apparently many others also appreciate the extraordinary unique qualities of this painting.
