The new site is coming soon! This site has not been touched in far too long. We are now working to make it better. Please note that we will be replacing this site with the new one as soon as we get it done. We currently estimate that to take another 3-4 weeks.

If anyone out there has been waiting for another blog entry, I think that this one may be a bit of a let down. Sorry about that. We really just didn't have a great deal of time over the last year to work on our own stuff.

CSS sprites are one of the most useful tools a web designer can use to reduce load times and speed up graphics changes on hover and other events. Collective Colors is built almost entirely out of sprites; so much so that after you load the first page, there are almost no other graphics to load as you surf from page to page (excluding inline images of course). This blog entry assumes that you have a working knowledge of HTML and CSS.

It is with great pleasure that we finally open CollectiveColors.com for business. As you are probably already aware, CollectiveColors.com is a web development group that specializes in working with the Drupal CMS.

The Collective Colors team consists of two brothers and business partners. Most theming and styling is done by Derek Webb and most programming is done by Adrian Webb. Since we both specialize in two separate yet integral parts of web development, we think we make a great team!
